Abstract

In this report, we present a brain abcess due to the severe systemic melanized fungus infection with a rare causative organism; phaeoannellomyces werneckii (cladosporium werneckii, exophiala werneckii, hortae werneckii) in an adult patient with no immun deficiency. İt’s important to consider melanized fungal infections in the differential diagnosis of the brain abcess and to know that the mortality of these infections are very high.
